I am one of the Founding Partners of TC Connections, LLC
Karen P. Miller, CEM, DES
I hold a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Speech Communications from The Catholic University of America.
I have been an active participant in the events industry since 2001. My previous roles include Director of Exhibits and Sponsorships for the National School Boards Association, Exhibit Operations Director for Optica (formerly OSA), and most recently, I was Assistant Director of Exhibits & Sponsorships at the American Chemical Society. In these roles, I was responsible for all planning and logistical aspects, as well as overseeing the sales and marketing for NSBA’s Annual Conference’s and ACS’ bi-annual expositions. As Exhibit Operations Director for Optica, I was responsible for managing all logistical and budgetary aspects of three large annual tradeshows, including one Top 250 event, as well as eight to fifteen hotel-based shows.

I have been involved with the International Association of Expositions and Events (IAEE) since 2001, by serving on various Chapter and National Committees, as well as holding Chapter Board positions of Secretary, Director of Special Events, Vice-Chair, Chair and Past Chair of the Washington, DC Chapter.
I am a graduate of the Krakoff Leadership Institute.
In 2004, I received my CEM (Certification in Exposition Management) designation.
I am involved with the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) on a national level by serving on task forces and being a member of the local chapter. Through PCMA, I have earned my DES (Digital Events Certification) in 2020.
